Under the main Sections heading to the right, you will find access to all of the Courses that are available to you for your continued educational development. These are available in a variety of distance learning formats, designed to suit your learning preferences.
The Learning Community link takes you to the Icon Estates Weblog - a learning environment where collaboration and constructivist learning occurs.
Links to other sources of educational information - Presentations, Seminars, links to interesting websites, along with recommendations for reading, etc., will be found in the Resources section.
This site is intended to help you develop your knowledge and skills, and reflect your needs and interests. In Development
Currently, this first prototype is in development. As new projects begin we will post their briefs here, so that you can possibly help us refine the concept to meet your needs, before the project is complete. For example;
- You might request that a course on a specific topic be completed as quickly as possible.
- Expressing a particular view of a photograph, or particular video clip, which might better help you explain a process, would be helpful.
- Mentioning that you have seen a similar product - one that we might look at so that we can improve on it, is an example of how a learning community might work.
About this Site
This prototype is produced by the Education Department of Icon Estates. Our team of dedicated educators will assist in the conceptual development of this site, and in the creation of the content within it. Our intent is to provide you with a learning tool that is reflective of a community of interested people.
Over time, much more will be added to this initial endeavor. Please check back frequently to see what is new, and we will attempt to provide you with an extremely valuable learning tool.
